Resources for hosting MIndful Leader gatherings

The intention of the Mindful Leadership group is to offer a form that can host whatever content any of the participants want to address. The basic form, or container, has the power to hold the content appropriately, so the content can be open-ended and self-organized. What is that basic container? Jeanie Cockell's discussion on this site following the April gathering outlines the…See More

This past year I was lucky to be part of the Pathways program faculty, working over nine months with a small group of people who came to the Summer Program in Halifax. This really helped me stay connected throughout the year to the powerful lessons the Institute offers. I look forward to the next Pathways program, and recommend it to everyone.

Waking Up With Rocks

Prof. Eduard Franz Sekler, an old-world Austrian gentleman who is one of the patriarchs of the Harvard Graduate School of Design, had a magic rock. We didn't know it was magic at first, but it turned out to be our Honourary Professor of Wakeful Perception.

Professor Sekler taught a seminar I took, which met in a small room, six of us around a table. At the start of class he…

Networking is a generosity practice

The best networking communities have a sense of wealth and generosity. By offering something of value to our colleagues we foster a culture of giving that makes our whole business environment richer and richer.

At a recent networking gathering at Fred’s in Halifax, hosted by Mingle magazine (“Bringing businesses together”), I was offered an invitation to speak…

Hi Crane,

I have read your handbood on the Container Practice several times. It was very valuable information and I would enjoy visiting more sometime.

In October my wife and I plan to spend some vacation time in Nova Scotia. Tentatively we plan to travel on Sept. 30th and spend October 1st through the 4th sightseeing and vacationing. She will return on the 5th to Kansas and I will stay for our Pathways Conference. We would like to know if there is someone we could visit with that might give us some ideas about sights of interest, room and board etc. in the area. Possibly you have some suggestions. I did not know where to start until I thought of you. Thanks,
Clem

Hey Crane, Good to see you here. I've completed Susan's Little Book of Practice and told her how wonderful it is. Container Practice is now near the top of the pile. Nice to get to know you a bit this summer. Hope you are having a wonderful season!
